5 Week Scene Study & Technique Class
This class is for all levels of actors.

Using both Method and Meisner techniques, we will focus on scene work as well as developing the actor's instrument. This produces acting that is alive and rooted in the truth of each individual actor.

Focus Will Be On:

• How does an actor gain awareness of physical tension and releases this tension?
• What are the set givens a writer is asking an actor to work with so a character's truth can be revealed?
• How can an actor create change within his or herself rather then change the character to suit the actor?
• "NEED" based sensory work - Emotional recall - Working with the "magic-as-if" and more!!!

  

Students will lay the groundwork for their particular scenes, rehearse and then put them up.
Each actor is encouraged to have two scenes to work on with two different scene partners.
